On any given day we can look at the newspaper headlines and see the cynicism and hate of social consciousness and the tit for tat political childishness practiced by the the United States government. Today, varioius photographs of the “dethroned” king/president of Iraq, imprisonned already in the wooden bars of the courtroom, are on websites. Combined with headlines like “I am still the President,” the editors of these ‘news’ agencies caricature this moment, enabling the semi-conscious masses to poke fun of, laugh at, and feel nothing for the HUMAN BEING- regardless of the crimes committed– within the cage of the images and words presented. As if Hussein’s declaration of presidency is any more ridiculous than the posse that tracked him down or the ‘authority’ of the court within which he is being judged. For these are titles that exist, regardless, even, of the ‘peoples’ votes, only in the shallow pools of the human mind, like manmade borders drawn on a map of the world; and to one of these borders our government plans to send 10,000 soldiers to patrol. Isn’t it obvious that this is a childish retaliation against new drug decriminalization laws the Mexican government is trying to pass.
