Arthur Lee’s unique lyrics and songwriting, his poignant and powerful voice, protean melodies, assured LOVE marginal commercial success.  With the rest of the band, Love influenced many of the late ’60′s bands, not just in L.A. where the band was based, but all over the world.  A complicated man who didn’t move through life with ease, he managed to give to this world many a great song, while setting an example of how not to lead a life ordinary.  God Bless him.
