Yamgruel was started by Oliver Ray in NYC in November 2004.  In the beginning it attempted to present an anthroposophical perspective on U.S. and Global politics, underlined with the belief that a system is only as ‘evolved’ as those who create it and the collective operating it.   By way of this, it was and still is Yamgruel’s belief that the only thing that will achieve what political/religious systems have claimed, is a genuine awakening for the individual on a planetary scale– and part of this awakening includes the cognition that we are involved in a harmony that resounds into the spheres far beyond our temporality.

The shelves of Yamgruel are filled with little objects of culture , symbols of the beliefs stated above– better, sometimes, to show than tell.  Poems, songs, viral videos, a big pot of Yamgruel for the weary but bright-eyed karmic voyagers of time.
